Try Iain at Eurorallye;

www.eurorallye.co.uk (http://www.eurorallye.co.uk)

Failing that they are often found on EBAY.

It's Ste Porter who's selling it and if your off to pv it will be easier as they are heavy bloody things.

yeah i see that one but two problems: I don't really have the money as of yet just sourcing some places that make them, and i'm unfortunately not going to pv. thanks tho :thumb:

materials tend to be aluminium chap and thickness is all down to application.

road rallys tend to recommend 10mm-12mm if you want to go flat out, 8mm-10mm for a gravel stage and 6mm or less for a tarmac stage.

obviously these aint law, but its what i have been advised to run. seeing as i am going to be running round derbyshire, 10mm for me! lol.

I think a 10mm is a sensible option as the dent in my sump has been pushed up to the pick up pipe and missed the sump plug by about 2mm. has anybody got any pics of some fitted mouting pics if possible.

If your custom making id want to secure it to the slam panel somhow through the holes (maybe get a plate, drill and tap a hole and then slot it through the holes (get me? put it through and turn it 90degrees so it wont fall out) and then bolt up through the sump guard to it)

At the rear i guess you would have to drill and tap the chassis or do like the plating kits come with and weld on a plate.

This is somthing im thinking about for my weekend car, mainly due to how low it will run lol

i think i might get a 10mm sheet with a lip at the front which covers my sump and then go from there. I will get some off cuts too. Aluminium welding is a specialist thing tho isn't it

No chance i would want to secure a sump guard to a slam panel....

Think he means underside of the cross member tbh.

The proper Hockley grp-A strengthening kit has the threaded bosses in the plates for the front legs to accept the sump guard. When installed it can help as a lower strut brace.
