Is there anything I can do to stop damp from ruining my seats with mould?
My car is left in the garage for a long time and I’ve noticed a few spots of mould on the seats?,

I also found that there can sometimes be a large quantity of moisture around the car (droplets on the roof/floor) ?

Is there something I can buy that soaks up the moisture in the air before it settles as i can't afford to buy and run a de-humidifier ? Any ideas

Cheers :thumb:

I used to leave a tray of kitchen salt in my car during winter to soak up the moisture/condensation. that might work, but you would have to change the salt every so often. Its the same as those sachets of silica gel you get in the box with your new shoes.

Was going to say that ebay sells silica gel, also leave the windows slightly open to allow airflow.

caravaners use the stuff above and its really good.

Insulate the garage. clad the walls. It depenmds how far you want to go...

You shouldnt get mold in the car though over winter - unless theres leaks - that suggests water is getting in the car somewhere - wouldneed to ge ruddy wet to do that and you may as well leave it outside and let the air circulate around it for the damage mold can do...
