Water pump-how long 2 change?

As above! how long does it take 2 change1?
Also iv heard they can get a bit rusty, does this make it harder to change? the space thats there looks minimal now, wish i new it was nackerd b4!

Have changed one of 1.3 Astra, They thing was spotless and took me roughly 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

I've also done one on a Cavalier, which was a s rusty as fuck, It came out in 5 pieces and took me 3 - 4 hours.

If your changing pump, will be a good idea to change belt too.

yeah you will need to beat the fcuk out of it to get it out

undo the 3 allen bolts

beat it abnout till it loosens, big piece of 2x3 and big lump hammer usually does it :)

clean up the rust indside with some emery cloth and grease the new one when you fit it, it will help if you need to take it out again

fit a new seal with the pump

fit new cambelt (only ?12 from vaux)

Got it sorted, took me just over an hour, had 2 smack s**t out of the pump, it was really rusty!
the cambelt that was on it had only done 14 miles lol, i took it 4 a quick spin last nite!
