900 watt Amp

I also have:

.some very Heavy Duty Cabling and some lighter ICE Cable as well but no connectors.

.2x 12" Lightning Audio Subs although they dont have a wattage rating on them.

.2x front speaker replacement components, 200 watt.

.2x rear speaker replacement components, 200 watt.

How do I connect everything and where does it all go etc? Please be patient, I'm simple.

battery -> power cap -> amplifiers -> subs/speakers

i think, never used a power cap, but my electricianing skills say thats the way it would go haha, what channel are the amps?

Power and earth,
battery -> Fuse - > power cap -> fused distribution block-> amplifiers -> Earths.

RCA's,
Front and rear outputs from head unit to one of those amps (they look like they're both 4 channel?), new speaker wires from that back to the new speakers.

Sub output from head unit to the other amp, and use the bridged connections to each sub. If you dont have a sub-out then Y leads from the rear outputs into the sub amp will do.

Don not use a sub output!

There scrot!

Use normal rca outputs, then run your front components on a hpf or high pass filter, same with the rears, then run your subs on a low pass filter, set all your settings to 0 on your headunit, put the volume about 70% up,and then adjust from there, wind your input level screws untill your speakers just start to fade, then back slightly, make sure the sub/top end sounds are in sync, ie, not too much bass or top end, then move on and adjust your bass crossover and filters, basically, set to about 90hz, and bass boost to 0!

All in all, its pish after you have done your 1st one, you will breeze through stereos, and like me, end up fitting the funkers for half of work and college!

Also, be very very carefull with the powercap, they are very dangerous!

Read up on the web before using one!

And put as many fuses as you can afford in!
