probably why chap! the rich and the old are the tightest bunch of people. (generalising the way hitler did) they would rather claim 2 or 3 times a year and pay a premium once a year, than fork out for a few quids savings next year. lol

Old + rich = ideal pickings for thieves.
Think about it, if you were a TWOC'er, would you rather try to nick the busted up 1.0 fiesta from the chav next door who has a baseball bat behind the door and is likely to chase you down the road at 2am in his pants with 7 rottweilers baying for your blood? Or sneak out to the pensioner's house in the middle of nowhere and whip his Jaguar away whilst he falls asleep in his armchair?
Plus you could argue that older people tend to have protected NCB and lower premiums anyway, so the odd claim here or there won't affect them too much.

there really isn't a high crime rate in my area though, i do appreciate the points made and can fully understand how the would support the idea of a high claim area.
but theres f all crime up here! although i might have to go on the rob to fund my insurance if i don't get lucky soon lol motor direct have quoted me 1050 (1150monthly) including declared mods!
