Home made quick shift

Would it be possibe to cut my gear lever down, make it really short, and then screw my gear knob onto the top, and make it seem like a quick shift gear kit?!
Has anyone tried this B4?

My m8 tried it but it just makes it really fucking hard to change gear, ecspecially when your racing. My advice don't do it. Yuo can get soem kind of kit to change the linkage which isn't expensive but Im not sure what its called or how much it is.

sorry mate that ain't how you make a quick shift. It has nothing to do with the actual gear stick.
