what would be your personal preference? i have a corsa and plan to drive it to the track comfortably and have alot of fun with it when i get there. it has an c20xe in it and i have been getting a bit of money lately so i dont know whether i should buy a let or tune the xe? i plan on doing most the work myself by the way so its mainly the cost of parts that has to be considered.

should be an interesting thread this i think so dont be ****s eh.

The result of the thread will most likely be an arguement over which engine has the most suitable power delivery for track driving... and tuned red top... or a 2.0 turbo.

Im going to say depends on what track lol, LET your have to wait for the turbo to spool up (altho thats not excatly years lol), Xe the torque and power will be there ready.

IMO Its personal preferance, see how the XE goes first.

soorry but it came in a corsa and its such a good clean car it would be a crying shame to break it. i do still prefer the nova to the corsa for its more manly looks but ill see what i can do with this ;) i could always change the shell if i crash on the track too lol

Thats true actually, people go on about turbos like boost hides until you're halfway through a corner where it suddenly jumps out the turbo and kapwings you into the moon.

all down to how car is set up aswell not just the engine, a good xe with quaiffe diff wud outdo a standard let without diff as major factor is putting the power down especially with regards to corners. no one can argue a 300bhp let will kill a 180bhp xe on the straights but you carnt use all that power cornering so this will alwas be a debatable thread. and the drivers skills will affect also.
