I am currently building a budget Nova rally car for competition use.

What is the best engine to use ?

I have been told the 1300 is stronger and more robust than 1400cc
Could an 1800cc Cav engine be easily transplanted ?

or would it be 1600 8v gte/gsi power ??

Excellent, thanks for that. Just visited site - got loads of gear !

On another note, how easy is it to fit clocks with rev counter to a 1.0l ? (for the missus seen as though I is building a rally car - makes her think she has a sports car too!!!!)

swapping the clocks is easy - then you need to run an extra wire from the thingy to the back of it.

whats it fookin called... the little thing that is on the right hand side of the engine bay as you look in towards the front... where the HT lead goes into...

COIL??? lol... cant remember what you call it.

U got it Mr. Wisewood!
Run a wire from ur coil up thru into the dash, and behind the instrument panel thatll be the signal for the rev counter!
Check that u havnt got a wire already existin ther, its a plain green wire! if that is there, use that as thats wots normally used, just comes part of the standard loom, and is just tied back out of the way!
