2) burst coolant hse hear the inlet manifold, not 2 sure wer it goes 2 tho, iv had a look but cant see down there!
So, im now running a 1.6 8v efi bosch jetronic!
sounds good i think
It pulls lovely, the engine purrs like a pussy cat! its really quiet!
Just wanna say thanx 2 some of u who helped me along the way with all ur answers 2 my questions! i owe u all a drink lol (il b more skint now)
The total cost of the conversion was.......?292.79p
Thats including the lump! and all the parts i needed, not bad at all!
The total time it took me was.......roughly 36 hrs! on n off a bit when we wer a bit quiet in work!
Just wanna add aswel, ive never done an engine conversion, and very little engine work otherwise, but, i feel alot more competant now after completing this little project!
If i can do it, ne1 can do it!

Locky.

What engine did you have? What one have yo u got now?

As I think youve seen im rebuilding a E16SE engine to go in my J plate 1.4 SR (carb). Any advice you can give or any parts I may need would be brilliant. I am a trained technician but you cant beat first hand knowledge.

Ok, i dropped in the E16SE! i got the temp guge prob still atm!
check the thin hose that goes into the throttle body, in between the inlet manifold brances and into the water pump, check that hasnt worn!
erm, water pump may need changing! theres other little things 2! e.g lower arm ball joints e.t.c!
if u want the parts list i had, just tell me and i can email u them all, just 2 giv u a rough idea of wot u may need!

Yeah that wont b ne probs!
i had 2 change the ball joints coz i broke em gettin the drive shafts out, i was as careful as poss but still split em! just littlr things like that, total cost of parts was ?107 but that was on a really good deal :D
i did budget for some parts but not others! i hope the list i give u will help u c wot u may need 2 budget for!
