i have a standard xe lump and i ran a compression test i got 200 150 220 200, the plugs were all oil fouled, im just having running problems and seeing whether it could be piston rings or headgasket
cheers
With a differance of 50 id say head gasket or rings, you wont find out unless you rip it apart i think.
Somone will confirm
Did you do it properly? As in remove all plugs and WOT?
2 is down by more than it should be - head needs to come off either way mate.

got the head off, looks like valves have had some slight contact but valves are fine?! somethings been having a party inside cylinder 2 small stone or something and oil looks as if its been passing all the rings, both block face and head dont seem to have been properly prepared when mated,
New engine then - cheaper and easier imo.
Will need a new piston, valves and a rebore probably...
