Is there a definitive list of what boxes or final drives & car models (Nova obv) came fitted with?

I'm trying to suss out what box I want. Currently I have an F15 Corsa GSi box & on the 45/15" wheels is approx 3800rpm @ 70mph on the Nav. :(

Sounds like my old f15, CR 3.74Final Drive.
Check the stamp on the end...
haynes lists them, but as to how accurate that is, who knows.....

4.18 is ment to be the best standard balance of acletation and top speed.

I have the same fitted to my car, and iirc its about 2900rpm at 70ish.

Mine is a WR box though, not sure how much differance it makes.

I spent a while thinking about what box to put on my car for the best 70mph rpm.

I think I want a turbo D box from a Corsa B.

If your after the lowest RPM at 70mph then you want the lowest number final drive.

Certainly F15 to F15, Ive no idea myself if the F13 is the same, presuming not tbh.

^ im fairly sure 4.18's the shortest final drive nova's came in. its geared towards acceleration, so top end wont be so hot if thats what your after.

yours shouldnt be revving so high if its a 3.74, thats the longest final drive they came in, and 3.94 is the middle range of the 3.

it might be a modified box. rather than what it says on the gearbox stampings, u might have to pull the final drive out and count the amount of teeth on the gear, this will give u a deffinate figure as to what it is.

very very very very early (read that as funking rare) F15's used the same FD as the F13/10 setup so was a piece of piss to swap over. But the later more normal ones use the F16/20 style pinon is part of the mainshaft setup making it a slag to swapout :(

if you want "economy" but some fun then I'd opt for an F13CR with a WR 5th gear pair as you can swap those, and use a 4.18 FD.
if you CBA to swap the 5th;s then stick with the 3.94FD it should have as stock

Theres more than 3 Final drives, 4.18 is the middle one, like i posted.

His is a CR, so will rev slighty higher on the same final drive.

3.94, 4.19, 4.53 are the "normal" ones then there are a few freak ones dotted about out side and inside those ones. See the FD swap article for more info, plus have a looksee on the sig link site ;)
