et49 on a standard width rim if you are going to run 7" wide go et35 to et40 people dont consider width when buying wheels

7" and ET 35???? lol

All the best with that.

Any offset at 7" is going to be very close - even 49.

and 7" at et 49 will probably be in the coilover by a good couple of cm's lol

FYI with a 7 inch wide rim (and any likely diameter), 45mm offset would usualy fine, but will need arch mods on a hatch and likely to need arch mods on a saloon, especailly if lowered.
any lower offset than that and you risk major arch scrubbing and premature wheelbearing failure.
ET 49 on a 7" wide rim is also a not likely to work as the wheel will hit the suspension and/or inner arch instead of the outer arch.

lol what an absolute mess.

Any wheel of any size in the world will fit on any car if you have the time/tools, but more importantly are a massive chav.

I was simply informing those ill-informed (like yourself) that by fitting a lower offset with a wider width WILL RUB, drive like a t*at, and generally eat bearings and probably tyres - but you carry on son.

the 1.5 mm offset difference was on the gte/gsi alloys, i believe it was to give a bit more clearance for calipers, but would make no differnce to arches etc as the stardard wheels are only 5" wide!

All the "beat" with what? I dont even know what you are talking about.

"Contradicting" is a big one too - well done.

No - I was merely calling you a chav as a generic way of saying that you are indeed a mess (see above)

So you arent 24? Your sarcasm is too confusing for a mere Welshmen.

Either way, the OPTIMUM (look it up) offset is 42-49, the IDEAL (similar to optimum) width is 6J. Anything widly different AKA your set up will put more stress on CVs/ball joints/bearings and that my dear chav is a FACT.

PS I was driving when you were still suckling from your mum's/sister's teet.

its not the rim that hits the arch.. its the tyre. stretched tyres FTW
