Replace the wing chap, most decent welders coupled with little experience will blow a hole straight thru it :thumb:

^ what he said. Also for what you will spend on a MIG welder, filler, paint etc, might aswell buy a wing. Might be worth joining the club and getting discount from beevers auto panels.....

front wing £31 - free delivery if you join the club (usually a tenner postage).

paint and finishing primer about £20 all in - depending on colour/lacquer

Job done for £50 if that

Yeah just fit a new wing, saves having to sand the filler down!

dont use filler first fiberglass the holes from behind then skim them from the front with some top stop filler. much cheaper than buying new wings and either way they have to be painted.

i have a v.g.c. pass wing i can do you for a tenner plus p&p in flame red. fibreglass and filler is going to be a bit of a false economy if you ask me as unless you have the patience of a saint or experience doing that kinda work its hard to get it looking right and it will be prone to cracking. personally i would go for a 2nd hand wing if you're on a tight budget, or mig weld a piece of metal behind the hole and fill onto that (if you do this yourself try not to weld in one big run as the panel tends to warp, small runs leaving 5-10 seconds between for the metal to cool works for me, i use a clarke 150te turbo mig and an SIP 150 as a back-up, the clarke mig 90 is a great first welder though, especially if you're welding thin panels, and avoid gasless as its rubbish)
