rate fellas times come get this paint for the engine!
just wondering if there’s any brands anybody would recommend, and if anybody’s got any, tips, tricks, ideas on best way painting the engine!
(no snide comments please, just after genuine advice)
any help would be much appreciated

any decent high temp piant should be fine but i would watch what primer you use as it can cause the new piant to flake mate

not too sure lol check the htp piant and see if it recomends a primer with it mate most 2 pack and celulose would burn and flake with the heat mate but theres alot of felas on here who have pianted there engines etc and should have tips on the primer bud
What sort of temp does the engine get upto roughly. Thurmalox 245 Primer will go upto around 1000'f which is more than enough for an engine.
Most of the paints for use with high temp engine stuff is enamal and there is no need for a primer.

Hammerite. Thats what i used on my engine block and cylinder head.

hammerite is oil based isnt it ?

i got sum from a industal paint surplier - going see how this takes to it! got a spare head and inlet to practice on then going send it through the oven at work! can keep turning the temp up see how much it will take

well personally hammerite is fine, i use it on my brakes and so far so good
