View Full Version : diesel or petrol battery?
I need to get a new battery for the saloon and someone said to me yesterday to get a diesel one instead of a petrol  Is this true if so why
diesel batteries have a higher cranking ampage and normal a larger capacity. so unless youve got a massive install i dont see why you would need one
Ah right no so a normal petrol will be fine for me thanks. Is it any make ones that are better then others. as ive heard hafrouds ones arnt that good?
ive never had a problem with the halfords stuff, Mind i always use the calcium ones. But at trade works out a bit cheaper.
ive never understood why people pay out £50 for a new battery when you can get one for a fiver at a scrappy
Cas its easy.. you walk in, pay for it walk out and your car starts.
Your not ****ing about going to a scrappers, trying to find a decent one that works.
my local test all the batterys and only keep the good ones so you walk in, choose a battery and pay a fiver :)
PMSL non of ours do there all thrown in a corner upside down sideways etc, its hard enough trying to find one that will open a window let alone start a car.
Hmm our scrappys do the same as burgo's. might go there not a fiver but £8 is still cheeper then a new one
thats lazy northerners for ya :P
lol, shut it you fairy Kisses at pv?

burgo it seems your tighter than a camels **** in a sand storm! lol lol
your nova would usually use an 063 battery, maybe go up to a 065 if u wanted a little more power as its the same size but has higher cranking amps.
as stated above theres no point really doing so in a nova unless you have more electronic gadgets than ann sumers.
not tight just dont see the point in wasting money
