Just got one of these on a 1.3 engine i picked up but just not sure how the throttle cable connects to the throttle arm? as i can see it doesnt attached to a ball joint like my carb on the 1.2 engine. will i need a different cable for a 1.3 engine? if anybody has a picture of the throttle linkage or can let me know that would be great.
cheers

hi, if i remember right you will need a different cable to suit the 1.3 carb, am sure if you bought one for a 1.3 nova that would fit. these have a nipple on the end which slots into the mechanism i think.

or you could buy the nipple bit and chop the end of the cable as thats what i did. i couldn't geta cable from anywhere round my end.
Yep, as said need a cable from a 1.3 or 1.4.
the only place I found for the cables is vauxhall and they were about £30. Factors didnt seem to hold any.
Yeah the throttle cable for the 2e is like a small cylinder/barrel which slots into the red arm thingy for the accelerator.
I bought one from Vauxhall last year, can't remember how much it cost.

Cut one end off the inner cable and remove it from the outer, then replace with an inner brake cable from a push-bike, and at the pedal end use an electrical connector block to adjust the length and act as a stop.
