View Full Version : flat flywheel on c20let -- worth it?
Is it woth it or shall i just with the standard pot one? Ive got a flat one spare and will stick it on ebay if its not worth using. Could i just use it with a uprated xe clutch? Car will be about 300brake
Yea its weight saving, a cheep mod seeing as you havent got to buy it !And will rev more freely
Yep fit the flat fly and a good/uprated xe clutch. Pots way a ton compared.

As a flat fly means you'll have to use a XE cover plate, which doesnt give the same plate pressure as a LET one... So its easier for it to start slipping....
I can get an uprated xe clutch and pressure plate though, i will need to buy a clutch anyway

Correct, I had this problem. You need to use a LET cover plate if running bigger power, even Helix uprated cover plates are only rated to about 250 lb/ft of torque.

Gotta agree as well, i ran a flat fly on my LET, even with a supposed uprated clutch it slipped, swapped to a lightened POT fly and std Vaux clutch and it was spot on.
