Purchasing tax at the post office.

Does anyone know if you can purchase road tax at the post office, with a valid mot cert number, but not the actual paper copy of the certificate? Need tax for the car tommorow but as usual everything is lastmin.comlol . And as i only got insured last night, it has not shown up on the insurance database for taxing online:mad: typical!

no, you need a proper certificate or cover note, even a faxed or emailed copy won't be allowed.

Thought as much mate, though iam picking the car up from an mot, and have insurance and mot, so i should be fine to drive home and stop at the nearest post office and buy tax after mapping has been completed.
