i think finding a decent gsi engine is the 1st and hardest step.

but not much, engine will drop onto mounts and drivers shafts and iirc the spi tank works fine on the multi point engine.

Easyish then, your have to remove the spi wiring, change for a astra intank fuel pump, and everything else is simple.

i have confidence, and practicle skills, i have restored a few 70's mopeds so im no stranger to a tool kit, all i was worried about is pulling my car to bits and then find out theres more to it than meets the eye

The GSI engine and gearbox will bolt straight in, and use the existing driveshafts. You'll need the exhaust from the donor, or a suitable aftermarket one, along with the engine loom, ECU and a suitable fuel pump.

You'll need to replace the fuel line that supplies the engine from the tank with a high pressure one, and the rest of your issues will be electrical.

Hes talking about a SPI, no need to replace fuel lines, and it does have a ECU, Behind the glovebox.
