will this carb fit on a nova inlet?
Weber 32/36 DGAV carb, jetted for a 1.6.
Came off my 1.6 manta which ran fine before removal. Has choke.

and if i get a 1200/1400 inlet and open the ports up will it work on a gsi engine?

many t's in advance

Phil

It would work but not give top power. The inlet manifold does not match the inlet ports as they are different shape. You'd also need adaper plate. I'd stick with the injection if I was you or 40's if you wanted to go the carb way.

yeah i agree with garyc, best off leaving the fuel injection.

sorry forgot to mention its on t40's at the moment but they need rejetting and setting up correctly , ive got a spare manifold lying around and was going to match the ports to the head, just after a cheaper alternative to getting it on the road lol as i dont want it sat around this year again

Id just setup the twin 40s.

yeah i would just set them up, the money it would cost to source another manifold etc.

if you want ill set the 40s up for you its easy when you know how. if its worth the trip. got them on my sport and would not change them for the world great performance and superb noise.

dont see why it wont work mate, especially as its got manual choke, minimum hassles.
as long as you matched the manifold ports not far off using a gsi gasket for similarity, and the inlet was of a suitable size as to not restrict the airflow, woulda thought it would run fine, and sound prety good too. go for it i say.

all thats needed is the ports working, and possibly a plate manufacturing for the carbside to sit on the inlet, which u could make out of mdf or something for a template. throttle cable u might be able to use the manta one, and choke, im sure youll figure something out :thumb:
