ring your local gm dealer.

if the linkage joint block thing is worn, i would think that if it won't get 4th, it won't get some other gears.... but i also think it looks cack & you should keep the nova until someone offers money cos if his car was any good, it would sell easily anyway & not need to be part exed

just looking from a re-sale point of view can probly get more from the astra if the nova doesnt sell but i need to work out whats wrong with it and work out wether it would work out or be more hassle

Go and have a look at it? if you're not mechanically minded take a mate who is. Any t&t? Engine size? standard astras are ten a penny now, this won't be worth any more than a standard astra imo. Nova values are only increasing!

Nova values are only increasing! its in Kent mate a bit far, hes putting 12 months on it but no tax. completley forgot to ask about what engine size lol but he said its got 120000 on the clock but has had a different engine put in with 80000. I just cant see me making what i want for my car but it owes me so much :( got 3 watchers and no bids :( looking at the prices of redtop novas and c20lets on the bay it will save me loads to sell up and buy another one done

Well if it wont hit 4th would it just be a case of changing the gearbox? theres loads on ebay for around £100. Looking at the prices on the bay i should be able to get like £1600 for this with mot (hopefully) to fund my next car? mehhhhhhhhhh dunno what to do!!

Get the front bumper fitting right and change the gearbox, forget that astra, it's only a 1.4 (will feel worse than a 1.0 in a nova) and it's been chavved up (though if those are vec GSi rims I'll offer him £50 for them).
