mk1 golf rules. drove a lot in my mate's mk1, before i bought the astra mk1 i was looking into one aswell.

rust points are the around the fuel cap, the rear arches, sills, under the fronwings and the rear chassis legs near the rear axle

my bros got a y plate gti, its been used and abused all its life it now lives in his back garden under a cover.
my other brother has a mk1 1.1 a proper time warp special! its mint!
its only going be a matter of time till i convince them to make 2 into 1. lol

exactly where my mk1 golf has gone , lol but you can get repair panels for it ,

i really need to start on the golf soon , just keep breaking stuff on the nova , its the exhaust this week lol , bloody thing has been mint for the last 12 months with nothing wrong and then in 2 week i have poped coolent hose , ****ed gear box , ****ed cv ,and snapped exhaust lol

i was 17 and was ard as fook innit mate ! getting off topic here but yes mk 1 golfs are really fun , that one of mines was rough the paint was crap the interior was shagged it ran like crap was off the road more than it was on but still i loved it .

this is my daily ride, the cabs suffer with heavy everything, steering, clutch, brakes etc.

bloody reliable and built like a tank.

my brother had a black caddy pickup with gti lookalike alloys & gti front grille. the diesel engine blew up & we stuck an 1800 scirocco lump in.. the look from people when we flew past was great, first off, it was the 'oh here comes a golf gti' look, followed by the 'fook me there are wheelbarrows in the back' look

i like them me they look good like i prefer novas but they do look very nice!! my mate has one but its more rust than car lol
