hey guys, my header tank has split, just below one of the seams on the front.
why would it of done this?
and i have a new one so im good:D:D
just looking for answer lol, is my head gasket on the way out

mates done it aswell most do it from pressure in the system
has anyone else experienced this??
i think my head gasket might be on the way out. as i have slighty cloudy water lol dont want it to blow at pvs i would cry

Mine did this a few years ago....if you fill it up to high then the pressure is to much in the tank so it will burst at the seem.Make sure you keep it just under the full mark and under the seam. you should be fine

Maybe don't put the water bottle cap on murder tight, so as not to build up mega pressure.
Hell I forgot to put the cap back on my 1200 and done a 15-20 mile journey with the cap lying beside the strut turret, it didn't build any pressure and was ok lol
