Hi chaps just wondered if anyone has any fast road cams in the xe? Im looking at getting some but woundered what kind of a gain im looking at??
Also fuel consumption etc ( not an issue just wondering ):thumb:

all depends on what mileage the XE has done and what condition the engine is in overall. If the engine is a good'un id expect around 165-170hp with a remap.

My old astra made 169bhp on the rollers with a set of piper fast road cams, blue injectors and 3 bar reg (was dizzy engine).

They are good, you will notice a difference more so in higher revs. You might find its a bit more sluggish pulling of but wont be bad if they are only mild.

Fuel use will increase, you will put your foot down more lol

over the years mate ive used kent cams, piper 285s and last ones were reprofiled xe cams all safe to use with standard hydraulic lifters on the xe, no need for solid lifters.i used with adjustble vernier pulleys to get the best from them. and as said be looking around 15-20 bhp gain on a strong redtop engine if set up properly.
