i have phoned around a few companys including sky and they all said no due to the cage
Ad, whats your postcode rating?
I think the cage may boot the price up a bit. I had similar setup, sans-cage, on the saloon last year, but a few years older with max NCB (i.e. 5+, mirrored from the Celica) and paid about £300 with Sky.
I think you'd be looking at the £500 mark or just under if you're in a decent postcode.
[edit] Just realised second car - you're aware you can only use NCB on one car at a time? Usually companies who mirror NCB will only do so if the other car is insured with them.

sky mirrored mine from another company,
Was xe and now let.
You knows the specs of my car.
10k miles,
was 4k agreeed value,
Is garaged and i live in a nice postcode,
27, 9years ncb £350 was what i paid, gotta add £40 for the change over to the let and upping the agreed value to 7k.
21, 4 ncb no points etc.
KT postcode,
adrian flux £709 tpf&t
Sky insurance quoted £740 i think it was, didnt get any other quotes.
For xe/\ ????
Thats expensive imo
Jack, im in ST3, not sure what risk that is.
I thought so tbh, but flux quoted better and im already with them, means no big deposit.

ST3 is C
RJ how do you find the risk assessment of a post code? Mine be TS and i am starting to worry about what my engine conversion will cost me insurance wise :(
It used to be on here I'm sure, but if you google "insurance postcodes" there's a list floating round the internet

you go thru it with the numbers. say for EG your postcode was TS3 *** it would be in category F, or if it was between TS16 *** ans TS19 *** it would be a cat E etc etc.
One of my mates lived in a NE4 poscode which is benwell and fenham which with no disrespect to anyone living there arent the best of places for having your car safe. That postcode is below the lowest class and most insurance companies would only quote over the phone and the prices were +400 quid compared to when he lived at home in durham
I am in E then
And thanks for explaining that.

Sweet, was told before it was a safe one.
Got a few quotes earlier.
HIC mirrored the ncb off the Astra and quoted £596 TPFT.
Not too bad.
Flux were £6** cant remember
So i rang Sky and got a top service and quote!!!
They came back with £510, VVinner, so ive gone with that. Mirrored the ncb from HIC's policy.
All mods covered, including their value etc. Told them the car was bought as a bare shell and built up from scratch etc, guy on the phone was sound and knew exactly what the mods were when i listed them.
As soon as i mentioned Cav engine, he replied "redtop?" lol
So a good vote for sky here, saved me about £90, not bad for £10 png membership :)
:thumb:
(That was with 4years ncb btw, but when my renewal comes for the astra from HIC in a few week i will actually have 5years ncb, so if thats the case i may ring back and see if they'll take that into consideration :)
Whats your postcode rating? Mines E*, much cheaper than me :( Mine started as a gsi though if that makes a difference
C i think Jack said it was.
