just put a 20seh in my nova and it occiaonally chucks out black smoke when high revving.. ive been told black smoke is fuel problem. any ideads where to look 1st or is engine fooked

engine is not foked,

Black smoke is overfueling, which means you will need to check the lambda and the injectors......... however over fueling on high revs isnt really a majour problem.

However if you want it fixed either put it on some diagnostics and see what the problem is or change the lambda & give it some redex

Over fuelling is better than running too lean. Most cars put some black smoke out when high reving so dont worry.

yer he only said it puffs it out occasionally thats what i was talkin about. Dont ya get bore wash from loads of extra fuel an get poor comression?
