Its easy mate.

unbolt the 4 shock nuts in the engine bay.Jack the car up. take both front wheels off. unbolt the 2 bolts on each side hub., take old strut out, fit new one in and bolt it all back together,...

with the back... unbolt the two shock bolts in the boot. remove the little metal shims and the rubber bits. jack the car up. your wheels dont need to come off for this, remove old springs, fit new ones. unbolt the shock on each side. remove shock, fit new one, then lower the car onto the shock, as its easier than lifting the whole beam up. bolt the shocks in the boot. remove jacks and axel stands.

Job done :d

Unless your a epic gay, do them red.

Exhaust needs the clamp undoing it and the backbox twisting. Its not sat in the right place

Painting drums is easy. Prep them as you would get them clean and wipe with spirit. Etch primer if you're painting from bare metal or normal primer if not. Then colour of your choice. Don't paint the surface which the wheel mates too.

I personally would do them silver or original looking or black. Don't like colour coded drums.

Far too much work for something like the rear drums IMO.

Only smoother if you can remove all the rust from the drums in the first place, Sure on new drums its worth spraying, but not on old drums IMO.

Tinned paint is only £6/7 anyway, so presuming you have to buy two cans for spraying it (Etch and Black), your spending more than £6/7.

i would go with awo6's idea its simple and effective, and i sprayed mine with cans, and it just shows the imperfections of the drum, regret doing them red however ....

did you get her all polished up tis looking nice and red

Had a little clean and tried to do a bit of polishing, The sun light helps alot :P When standing next to the car can clearly see pink ;)

personally i would go for the gsi interior with all the black interior trims, and black seats, looked spot on in my 1st car, my lil red mk2.
Saying that the SRi red interior does look good,
And the interior will make a big difference, will make you car a much nicer place to be in, the poverty interior is horrid

GSi interior is too common, go to a show and all you see is GSi interior (I only bought mine because it was cheap and better than poverty seats)

I'd try and source a nice red SR/SRi interior with the red heater controls and gear-knob etc or maybe some Mk2 Astra 3dr SX/SXi seats and get them on Nova subframes to keep your 'SX' theme going mate :)
