I've had good service from HIC too, however Sky have always beaten them for me.

Is this renewal quotes you guys are talking about? You're aware renewals are almost always higher? lol

Pick up the phone, ring round, get some other quotes and that price will drop.

Any insurance company only makes serious profit on renewal. I worked for the AA insurance and the cost of setting up a policy etc is quite high. The renewals cost nothing to do and they will try to charge you more whenever they can in the hope you cant be arsed to swap. The AA and all afiliated companies (and probably everyone else too) can nock 10% off the renewal straight away. If you still dont like it they have a specialist renewal department that will offer the best price they possibly can. Dont call up and say i want money off im leaving unless you do it, be polite and civilised and they will try and do you a good deal

Ive not had any complaints with HIC up until now, the thing is there sister company with adrain flux & they p****d me of in the end aswell. what other good companies are there which do agreed value polices?
