1.4 sr owners - ignition help

yo, just after a bit of info on the coil ignition loom.

theres 3 wires :

- black
- brown
- green

am i right in thinking the black is juice for the coil, brown is earth and green is for rev gauge ?

and out of curiosity, if that brown is earth, does it connect at its source anywhere in particular or does it just join in on the local earth nearby that spiderwebs off to the bay for the lights, indicators, rad switch, etc.

according to haynes, the brown connects to the dizzy as an earth
the red one from the dizzy also connects to the coil..
