hi there . puttin 2.0 16valve engine in nova saloon everything is done but dont no what way heater matrix go ....i already have a saloon that is on road just now but is 1.0 wondering if the heater matrix hoses will go on the same way on 1.0 as they do on 2.0 since they are exactly the same. help would be great cheers.

Should be the same, altho it dosnt matter which way around they are.

The pipe from siude of the xe head goes to the left matrix tube, and one from the black plastic coolant pipe behind the block goes to the right tube.
Looking from the front of the car.

Well thats how most people do it, personally i piped mine up the other way round, and its fine.

cheers boys , thought if it wasnt right it would overheat as i was told .... how long would it roughly take for the car to blow threw hot air?

Depends on how good your thermostat/rad is.

Within 10mins id guess.

And putting it eather way around wouldnt matter, Mines on the opsite way to what it came out the factory.

5 mins unless you have an air lock somewhere

haha been stressing out all day because the block gets hot in 5mins but no hot air comes threw .

Run it with the expansion tank cap off for a bit to remove all the air from the system.
Watch it doesnt boil over though.....

are you running the engine with the cap of the watter bottle

if its not blowing through hot air check the cable has not come off the vent flap in the passenger footwell.

running with cap on will try it with it off. whats the best way to get rid of airlock

It should purge itself if you have run it up for a few mins. Just go for a drive, when it has cooled, if the water level has dropped much at all, that will be the air pocket that was in it.
