ok then the speedo mech is interchangable take the front cover off & undo the 2 philips head screws on the back of the clocks then using a jewlers screwdriver undo the 2 on the front.... however you will need to pull the needle off, before you do lift it over the stop and see where it hangs as you will be needing to put it back there when you put it back on! do the same on the other one put them all back together & bobs ya uncle, you got the one with the right mileage to go into your car and one which im assuming is scrap that you can send me :D lol

His car dosnt have any brakes at last check lol

Maybe the orignal clocks got ruined?

Oh and if you had the standard one, presuming its SR/SRI/GSI type you could just swap the whole speedo head bit, as ive done this many times.

you can do it with povv spec ones, i did it........ just 2 mini phillips head screws on the face of the speedo & 2 big ol ones round the back, pop it out and ya have a speedo unit! with the correct mileage!

They broke so i bought another set. The car has been off the road for 10 months nearly so i didn't need them. sorted it now. Probably broke them but we will see. lol

It takes fookin months trying do it with the "drill method"

Take the speedo out and look at the back of it and you'll work out how to do it in 5minutes ;)
