Really worth it? For the price of them im guessing its worth it, but how have people fitted them?

I presumed drilling and tap'ing the sump plug would be best?

:D Reppp for anyone

you can mess on drilling and tapping the sump plug but easyer and much better way is to fit a sandwich plate between oil filter and housing. you get them with 2 or 4 taps so can not just fit oil temp gauge also oil pressure gauge.

Hmm good idea! I need to get a extender bit for the presure due to the baby xe alternator tentioner. Any idea of the cost of a sandwich plate, and that acualy fits a Baby XE.

M18 is the thread you need. You could also take the sump off an weld a nut on there so it is immeresed in the oil, which is the best plce to put it. I run my mechanical guageon one of those plates an it is OK. Be careful putting the gasket on as it is well easy to nip it an get a leak, I'd order a couple of spares just in case, if the dont sell them try another vendor otherwise you'll be stuck!

Hi,

I unscrewed the sump plug & screwed the sensor in its place so the sensor becomes the sump plug.
Been like this for a few years with no issues.

Il have to see about getting the correct size sensor, as the one ive got atm is too small. If i can find one that sounds like a good idea.

Unscrew sump plug. Screw this in (dropdown for what sizes they do), then the sensor into this.

Job done!

Cheers guys, I dont think running it low would be an issue, as i think the exhaust would hit first? Maybe other items lol
