Yellow headlamp bulbs.

Does anyone know what the legality of having yellow headlamp bulbs is?

I am under the impression that after 1995 the law was rectified so to make yellow headlamps illegal. So, in theory, a car from pre 1995 should still be allowed them?

A few folk on a local site were talking about this because they had 106's and wanted to copy the French. The general conclusion was that they were illegal but that wasnt confirmed by anyone i think everyone just assumed it would be.

Im not sure but the ultra bright blue ones are legal I think, ive got them on my nova and never had a problem.

Why yellow?
Yellow is better in poor weather conditions. Often find foglights have a very yellow tint to them.
