F16 Vs F20

which is the better gearbox?

i have an f20 in my corsa xe but the clutch fork has broken and needs welded. i also have an f16 i can tap off my little brother for free.

which should i go for?

what are the pro's and cons of these two gearbox's?

i dont know if they are high or low ratios gearbox's but i know that the corsa was faster than most before it broke and looks to be standard.

you would be better with the f16 not as much top end speed but acceleration will be better

aye recovery truck :) dont quote me on this but i think you could do 160mph ish with an f20 but maybe 135mph ish with a f16

you could cruise down the motorway at about 70mph;) but if you get on some private land an f16 on an xe should do about 137 and wheras a f20 will do around 147

yer been there with the f20 in a throttle bodied nova :D according to the digi dash this is!

what would an f16 shave off a 1/4 mile time then???

not to sure about quarter mile times, im runing an f16 cr in my nova xe very quick off the mark but wheelspin is an issue

how can i tell if mines a wide or close ratio?? My old xe nova wheelspun like fook on a f20 now i have a f16 on my belmont xe and that seems to pull off like stink?!?

not sure but it should be hitting the limiter in 4th and doing 115mph if its an f16cr

i need to know what to go for grrrr lol if im taking the f20 off then it makes sense to fit the better box back on dont it. i dont realy need traction problems either as its bad nough!!!

I have had one of each and much prefer the f20, a lot harder to break traction and still isn't slow through the gears
