My favourite after many years consideration is the Bugatti Atlantic Type 57SC owned by Ralph Lauren. The type 57 was about the first true supercar and was originally made in Electron which could not be welded so had to be rivetted. All very Bruce Waynelol

Anyways there's nothing quite like it and its achingly good looking from any angle

oh hell no I didnt drive the thing.... its insured for £2million as its a Lemans winning car with crash damage.
Ford own it but keep it with a company they use for "tuning" and I did a lot of work with them, they owed me :D

I saw the discovery channel show where they did it.

it was a tribute to the Delahaye cars of the 30's. it had a unique hot rod chassis & viper running gear, it is just too beautiful to be driven. Boyd always wished he'd never sold it.

I had the pleasure of driving a carrera 4S today, a mate of mine is looking after it for a few days. The bark from the exhaust with the silencer switched off is immense! 150.. hehe (not me tho)

I think it had a quad rotor when it won leMans in 1991... (see my previous bit about sauber Mercedes cars)

the schumacher merc was about 10 laps ahead, and the other 2 were close by, when all of their water pumps failed at about lunchtime...the mazda was 4th, with Johnny Herbert driving the race of his life. the english radio station was counting down the laps until he'd lead, and us brits in the crowd were going mental each time the little mazda came into view, god what a scream that thing made on the overrun. Johnny was kept out for about 4 or 5 stints in a row & actually collapsed after the finish line from exhaustion. he never stood on the podium cos he was in the medical centre getting treatment... Its moments like that, that make me a motor racing fan. non racing fans just never understand.
