I'm considering it......

But I need help with a few questions........

Do you have to have racing overalls - Flame proof?
How much does the roll cage, fuel tank cost?
How much does entry cost?

I've already got myself a trailer, helmet, car and bright yellow paint. And a trusty sledge hammer for repairs.

try the MSA website for the "blue book"

or just call the stadiums that host it and find out from them how to start
ie speedworth in gt yarmouth i think

would be quite a good laugh.

I used to do banger racing a fews yr back, well, i was the learning grease monkey, and my mate used to drive the cars, there was no point in us both having the membership!

to banger race, you need fire prove overalls, boots (stell toe cap best!) and hobviously, a helmet! and if so, gloves, these arent important, but you will be glad of wearing them!

the car, you have to strip is COMPLETLEY! depending on what typr of races you enter with what car, you will need to move the fule tank to inside the car, welded in were the back seat would be, with hobviously, a role cage which can either be self made or purschased through dealers!

everything has to be striped out the car, also, the ignition has to be modified in a wway so there is a cut off switch on the body work of the car, also, nets of the windows are preferable (hobviously) windows have to come out!

it would be a good idea to have a fire extinguiser in the car!

but before any race (or at the very begining of the race day) the car will be checked to makwe sure it passes safty requirements!

some races or contact, some arent, the mini races arent contact!

Yeah I knew about tank, cage and stripping. I was planning to leave steering wheel, pedals, bumpers, gearstick and handbrake lever on.

Does sound expensive, but once you've brought the stuff you can re-use over and over.
