every now and then when i stick my 1.3sr into second, it just jumps out when i let the clutch up, or grinds if i try and force it in. just wondering if anyone knows or has experienced a similar problem then could you let me know what is fucked, gear linkage or the actual gear box. or if there is a different explaination.
cheers for any help.
not 100% but it sound like your linkage its playing up have you ever takin it off or moved it
i changed mine the other day as a few of the teeth had broke where the ball joint sits
does it make any nasty noises?????
Have you checked to oil level recently?????
If the linkage is ok, then get a replacement box. The f10 & f13 boxes will fit ok
If you buy one from a cav. the scrappy will probably charge a lot less than if you ask for a sr box.......

i'm not to up on the nova but it could be an engine mount, with it slipping out a wrongly sat gear box or engine coudl do that and the crunching. just thought i'd add
1.3sr
The f10 & f13 boxes will fit ok
are you sure?

f 10's are found on sr's etc, f 13's are found on gsi's etc
both small block engines so g'boxes will fit.
But the flywheels are different and so are the housings. a mate once said the f13 would replace an f10 but not the other way round, then someone on here said it wouldnt.

the f13 will replace a f10
internals are the same - bellhousing is bigger on the f13 to accomadate a larger clutch
sr's had f10 as standard so any f10 / f13 will fit

i have a box off an astra 1.3, is this the f10 as well, will it have all the same ratio's as my sr 1. how do i find out if it is the linkage which is shagged or the box???
it would probly have wider ratios.
get an f10-5 ther very common and go for like ?40 or sometimes less. Sold mine in good condition for ?25.
just post in wanted section. people doing conversions will have them for sale
