Kawasaki Green xe project

Some of you may remember this as it was Mint about 3 yrs ago.

I've recently bought this and aim to spent some time/money on it and try to bring her back to life.

These pics are the sellers, I will post some of my own as the project progresses

That is indeed a scenic splitter, was very tempted to make my mums disappear when she wasn't looking lol

the splitter is a laguna one but with out the holes and the seat a fiesta rs turbo ones
mite pop up again this weekend if your about i will bring the bucket seat for you to have a look at

good cage and yeah come with frames it used to have a half safety devices cage when james had it are you stripping any more of the interior out as ive got a mate who wants some gsi door cards and black quarter cards

They are from a bmw m3 (older one)
They are the only ones that came in the dark grey/black.
They are matched to nova sr subframes.
If your tall your head will touched the roof.
They gave me back ache on long trips, hence why i sold them on.

Blimey didnt realise old M3's had these, were they on the old bmw evo's ?

Rses had them but in a lighter grey.
m3s had them around h reg*. Stripped them from old we had at work.

I sold them to James P whos your nova was. He built it to what you have now, then sold it and it got a bit looked after.

Now got 2 Cobra seats with 3 point harnesses (Thanks xe Dan )

Also placed the roll cage in roughly to see how see looks, lol
just got to get my welder friend to weld it in.

So it's coming along slowly

Its a mate who now has the white speedlines off this, he was on about getting some 15"s so ill ask him if he wants to sell them if your interested?
It was a guy in my town who ****ed it, was driving too quickly down a very narrow road outside a school. I don't think it was in school hours, luckily!!!

Got written confirmation from my local garage today that it has a engine change from 1 to 2 litres, So filled in the v5 and sent that off to the DVLA.......Fingers crossed that should do the trick.

The only charged me £10 + Vat so im quite happy with that

Also started to paint the back, Cleaned up some tiny tiny spots of rust then red oxide primered them, then started my first coat of satin black

As you can see this wont be a show car ! :-)

rob my mates got a nice cage if you fancy it as its a 6 point one and is alot thicker than urs it just needs the front half painting

No more pics as it's just boring stuff at the mo.

Still waiting for a freind to weld the cage in, as well as doing some odd jobs like fitting tie bar bolts that wernt there as well as trying to source a fly wheel cover.

Managed to get a few more things done, Sorted the tie bar bolts that were missing as they were just a M10 bolt (90p from B&Q lol )

Logbook changed to 2litre from 1litre, I had to get my local garage to write on headed paper that it has the new engine and also log the engine number.

you want to turn the bolts around holding in the cage mate,

Drop all bolts down from the top with nuts on the bottom.

I used engine block paint on my drums/calipers so they take the heat, but should be OK with hammerite.

I'm in near 2 grand of debt with my Nova and I'll NEVER get back what I have/still am putting into it, Bare in mind the 2g is mostly on the engine and its not even finished yet.

Not even going to think about what I have left to spend on the bodywork, cosmetics and nice alloys.

I would be scared to figure out what yours is, as anything that well done is going to be thousands more than it's end value unfortunately.

I have an excel sheet of costs, it's value if sold, and what it would have cost me brand new rather than second hand/discounted etc. I was doing alright until I decided to go track styled with it, buckets, wheels, engine, harnesses, all cost way more than I planned and my carbon fibre addiction isn't helping either, it's now worth less in parts than I've spent on it easily.

I kept tabs on it as when I started I was actually making money on it, then I got into it more and it went downhill lol I keep it up to date as eventually I'll want a diff car and it's nice to have a list of rough values for stuff, means I know if i can get x amount together I would have y to spend on a car.

At last got big end bearings from phillip (Thanks BTW) and with the help of a mechanic mate set about fitting them today,

Got sooo bored waiting for it to turn up i decided to clean the oil pick up pipe lol Dont ask why....Should of took a picture as it was a mirror finish !lol

Anyway Everything back together and she started on the button after 3 weeks of sitting with it's guts hanging out, Took her for a quick spin and hey presto NO KNOCKING !!! GET IN !!!!!

id keep it green but paint it Ford Ultimate green! as the same as the focus RS, as the car is green already you could get away with using the paint as a base coat!

Do the bumpers black, wing get resprayed cheapy (surly not expensive?), Mot it, Do the arch (where abouts has it gone?, if its down low, repair it and fit skirts to hide) and enjoy it.

i was so shocked to find this thread, didnt realise how many ppl loved this car as much as i did, i spent over 5k on this, and loved every minute of it, if you liked my old car when i had it you lot would love my new nova, jet black GTE 2.0ltr 16v wiv smoothed bumpers and black 16inch multi spokes, matt black engine with chrome parts, ill get some pics up when i get a camera.
