Hi all,

Am fitting a Tigra X16XE to my Nova, problem is it has PAS which I aint using (want to use standard engine mount), only prob is this seems integral to the drive belt, any ideas on how I get the belt back on after its removed (a mte said will need tensioner from a non PAS model???)

Yes, you need a tensioner from a non-pas Corsa or Astra with similar (X14/16) engine.

Or swap to a single-V belt. Swap the alt pulley, lower pulley from a late Nova GSi/SRi & then make an alt tensioner from something from another engine.

So I just remove the pas pump and mount it is attached to removing it from the drive belt aswell then fit a non-pas tensioner.
So how/where does the non-pas tensioner fit onto the engine, presume will now take different belt??

It just bolts to the coolant gallery take off by the inlet manifold.
You will have to make the tensioner up yourself if you swap to a single v belt

Find a non PAS Astra/corsa 16v in a scrapyard & raid it's bits.

Yeah its blagging my head now, will get to the scrappy tommorow have a look at neand pilfer any bits I need.
