I would save the golf and 205, 205 Is a really good handling car surprisingly, Handles better than an XE nova with the French's engine comparison.

Ive been in a 205 gti with a MI16 in round donnington park, handle well, but there just not that quick compared to other cars:)

still would rather track an XE Nova for the fun factor:thumb:

My personal top 10 cars would be . . .

# 1 . Vauxhall Nova GTE
# 2 . Vauxhall Astra GTE MK 2
# 3 . Toyota Carolla AE86
# 4 . BMW 325i sport
# 5 . Chevorlet impala 1964
# 6 . Renault 5 GT Turbo
# 7 . Nissan Sunny GTIR
# 8 . Vauxhall Chevette HSR
# 9 . peugeot 205 1.9 GTI
# 10 . peugeot 309 GTI

I will be happy if i can own at least 5 of theese cars , the likes of the chevy impala would be my ideal car , but the likelyhood of getting the chance to own one would be slim . Nath

in the end the scheme is going to screw anyone over that can't actually afford a newish car, since everyone is going to want 2k for their rusty ****ters :(

Theres been a few cars come into work (its been going a while, this isnt new) that ive wanted to save, including a nice cavalier diplomat :(

Its wrong, no chance of saving it once the customer has signed it over

rich, there is mate, you can buy it and remove the scrap marker from it. tbh its utter bull**** from a crap and dying govt. i cant wait for brown et al to be kicked out and someone with 2 inches of mental capacity to gain office. but the issue is that, who has that capability? its not "green", it uses more energy to dispose of a scrap car correctly than it does to build and run it for 10 years. how bout getting rid of all the london buses that polute? or the black cabs? because this govt actively targets motorists, and the family man. my father thinks that in 2 years the govt (whoever it is) will make it compulsary, i.e like japan. i'll be honest i for one cant see it, the amount of car clubs, parts suppliers, and small garages that rely on older vehicles is a massive industry in the uk. another point, think of the scrapyards, if we all scrap all cars over 10 years old, then there isnt anyone wanting those parts, so they will reduce stock, and size and eventually staff. considering the economic climate atm its suicide tbh. on a final, personal note, if it comes that it does happen, i'll just drive illegally. fukk the govt.

Not so much i cant, its my company wont let me. So if they have to be scrapped before my company gets there money, if its marked scrapped then i take it, i can get the logbook legally? theres nothign wrong with the cars that come in :(

Sloth

yup i know that. but its a view on a policy accepted by all partys. therefore a view is allowed if all partys agree. just had my training mate. ;)
