Hi,

I think i need a new front wheel bearing (bad whirring noise from the front, plus i jacked the car up and there is quite a bit of movement in the wheel ) but as the car didnt come with any history / much info i dont know exactly what brakes/hubs i have, Im told they are from a Astra 16v GTE but is there any way to tell ?? markings / mesuements etc ?

Please help, im off to the dealer tomorrow for the part (hopefully anyway)

Regards
Rob

Take some pictures and measurements and post them up as there are a variety that fit.

won't matter what hubs you have as even if you have machined astra hubs you will still need a nova wheel bearing

Brakes look like 2ltr astra gte 16v brakes. Has no affect on the bearing though, you will still need a nova bearing and have it pressed out/in

Must apologise as I was meaning that the brake discs come in different sizes and not the bearings. :)

My motorfactors have 2 different types apparently as I rang for one yest. I got to take it in to find out which one.....the bearing that is. God knows how they think I'll get there with a bearing in my hand and a car up on jacks :P

But they said either 9.99 or 14.99 so AW06 is about right...
