has anyone done this to a nova as i would like to fit it to the girlfriends gte but don't have any idea if it can be done and how much it cost as i think the steering is murder on the nova so if anybody has knoledge of it being done and prices can they share it :P

yes it has been done, most of the Rally Novas have power steering i know that Colin Smith (www.novarally.co.uk) used a Saxo power steering motor apart from that sorry i cant help you.
you will have to be careful as a lot of insurance companies wont go near your car if you have aftermarket power steering

I remember reading the guide on one of the aforementioned sites, and the problems with after market power steering outweight the benefits.
Drains power, and there isnt anywhere for it to easily fit, the rally car had to have it sitting where the passenger seat normally was. In a rally car that wouldnt be much of a problem as they have lots of power anyway and dont need passengers, but for a road car i dont think its a very practical idea...
