im in the process of sorting out a 1.4 block ready to mate a 1.2 head on it, with the 1.4 cam.
i still need to get a water pump, a 1.4 head gasket and cam belt.

ive got a bunch of questions:

will it be wise to use the lifters and tappets from the 1.4 head to go with it ? i was gonna use the 1.2 lifters and tappets, but they lost order when i moved the head.
and whats the score with cam belt sizes regarding this setup ? (i think mines tensioned via the water pump) 1.2 and 1.4 heads the same depth ?

and one more on fueling, as ive got 3 fcuked 2e's, which i doubt will be any good, im gonna use the 1.2's 1b carb on the 1.2 inlet for now, is it possible to take a 1.4 jet from one of the 2e's and fit it to the 1b ?

edit : oh and one more thing i forgot : the 1.4 block has an oil pressure sender but i dont have a set of 6 dial clocks as of yet, will this work ok on the normal gauge for the oil light or will i have to fit the standard sensor back in till then.

cheers :thumb: plus rep for any help, wanna try get the block sorted for the weekend to drop in

Should be 2 terminals on it if it's for 6-dial clocks, without them you only use one of the terminals.

my 3 are all jetted for 1.4's, but they came in 1.3 form too.

or do you mean size of the jets as in measurement ? i dont have any specialist measuring tools for that, i can imagine theyll be prety f0okin small lol

Mine was a 1.3 head skimmed by at least 1mm (more like 1.5) and on an SRi (C14SE-higher compression than a 14NV) bottom end and the head gasket was fine, did pink a bit though....

95 brake and it saw 8000rpm every day, on standard rod bolts!
