View Full Version : Who has a standard air box?
I want to get rid of the cone filter in the bay and have a standard air box with panel filter. What model of nova had 1 as standard? SRi GSi GTE? Does any other vauxhall airbox fit and look factory in a nova bay?
GTE/GSI have the AFM, so preety useless, SRI or C16SE GSI's are fine.
But do they fit with 2.0?
Corsa one can be made to fit (if you want i can post pics) but i havnt found a good way to hold it on.

nova td has a standard air box that dosent look out of place iirc
Isnt the TD airbox on the passenger side tho? I guess its easy to turn around?

A few pics would be good mate:thumb:
Now its not ideal, but it works and it makes one hell of a induction noise!

Ive got it held on with cable ties, and it hasnt moved.
PS: Using a corsa airbox from a 16v and not a SPI like me would be better i think.
Cheers! just hope it'll fit with my XE ;)
Aye a corsa one would for sure, Its inline with the edge of the chassis iirc.

TD air filter sits on top of the engine doesn't it?
TD airbox goes on the other side!
I bought a nova gte airbox to go on my 2.0 8v, but it doesn't fit! Just not enought room next to the cam belt cover. So I doubt a td or any others would fit.
Ive got a SRi one for my XE, but the pipework on it is tiny compared to a xe inlet hose, so it wont fit without mod's
I might have a stroll round my mates breakers yard and see if something else may fit off some other manufacturer.
Sri/Gsi airbox doesnt even fit in the inner wing space with an xe in there :(
Fail
It does on mine.. just. But thats because the cambelt cover is broken right where it sits! Was hoping it would have worked, keep it looking a bit original. But with a cambelt cover on theres no chance!!
