insurance database

basically, my insurance on my bike should of staretd at 1am today (my bday :D) but its not on ASKMID at this current moment :confused:

should i give it afew days till i ride it, or ring up the insurance? or does the site only get updated at midday etc? :thumb:

Site may be slow to update, Few people have said before their cars were not on the database when they were taxed mot'd insured and used everyday.

Yer, i had this with my car, insured it, had to drive it to sort somthing, got pulled by the fuzz, checked it out and was fine, i was just told because it was within a few hours of the policy being taken out, and could take up to 24hours.

Had same problem with my car trying to tax it, was eventually on the MID 2days later. :(

well well well... another story..

rang the insurance up today, told them id been stopped as my bike wasnt on the database, i hadnt really been stopped (checked on ASKMID 10 seconds before this call, came up as not on database), they said it could take upto 7 days for it to go on.

then, checked it once id put the phone down...

and guess what...

insured!, silly feckers mustve forgot to put it on, amazing what a phonecall does isnt it? :D

[edit] Hmm, the Nova's reg comes up as "Vauxhall Nova 993" (that'll be interesting when the DVLA update it to 2962 lol) but the Celica says nothing, just confirms the reg is on the database.
