right guys i have just got a nova saloon running a 2.0ltr 130 on twin 45 carbs and the other day i was just looking about the engine for any leaks etc etc and when i revved the engine a flame about the size of a tennis ball popped out of one of the trumpets on the carb!

its the first time its done and i'm a bit confused to why

any suggestions would be great thanx rob:thumb:

did it happen wen engine was cold or warmed up, as i set my mates twin weber 45s up and cud also be down to the mixture being too weak or timing retarded, check the mixture screw on the trumpet the flame spat out of as just slight adjustment affects webers massivley. his did exactly same and spat flames out. the idle mixture screw is the 1st screw on the carbs from the manifold.
