BAD BOY BONNET

i am desperate for a bad boy bonnet. Can i buy one new- or do i have to weld it myself or do i just stick with the extension?

there is an advert in this months total vauxhall mag for supernovas. they have a bad boy bonnet extension for ?30. dunno how it is fixed on though.

Quad Conversions do complete bonnet skins with vents and bad boys for a reasonable price if you think about all the hassle a bonnet skin saves

Ok you can:

- get a bad-boy bonnet extension - ?30 to ?75. This will need welding onto the leading edge of the bonnet, the weld smoothed over and the whole bonnet painted.

- get a full bonnet skin with a bad-boy extension. I don't think you can get any of these yet, though QuadConversions are about to release a Nova bonnet skin, and i think it'll be a bad-boy one. BUT the bad-boy bit will be week as the bonnet skin won't be steel, so will probably crack/snap when you use it to open the bonnet. May be ways wound it - use bonnet lifters, and be VERY careful opening it.

- get a proper bad-boy bonnet custom made. Best place to get one done at is CoolLouvres as they've done more than ANYONE else, so know their stuff. Price is ?150 or so, if you supply the bonnet. They normally need the car there, but do it 'while you wait'.

I talked to Brendan about one, and he said he might be able to supply a ready made one, but for about ?350. And it'd take 3 weeks to do!

I think i've gone off the idea of bad boys on a nova now. There's just SOMETHING not right. Aspecially when they're viewed from the side. You can see the 'lip' hanging over the lights and it just looks SHITE.
