fitted a e16se gte engine in to my sr nova and there are two spare wires on a plug. They are blue and brown do they go to the oil plug at the back of the block below the in let manifold.

yea solid blue and brown

blue is normally for the water temp and brown earth. Doubt it'll be different for this engine.

the 2 wires are on the 1 plug and i have a water temp wire conected.
