Ok, I've spoken to 5 different people offering different answers to what I thought was a simple question.

What do you torque XE Headbolts to. I was told 35-40, then 45-50, then 18 and turn 60 Degrees three times, then one lad told me to set them at 65 ft lbs and the last lad said, just pull ehtm good and tight  .

So, in Foot Pounds could someone please tell me what to set my torque wrench to for the first pull and what I should finish with.

if using a standard headgasket mate and standard bolts =
stage 1 - 18ft/lb
stage 2- 65 degree turn
stage 3- 65 degree turn
stage 4- 65 degree turn

xe and let settings same but vary dependant on wot headgasket and bolts or stud kit, ive just don my let engine with ARP bolts and steel gasket this way
stage 1- 25ft/lb, 34nm
stage 2- 42ft/lb, 56nm
stage 3- 59ft/lb, 79nm
stage 4- 75ft/lb, 100nm

thats how i do mine but sure other people may have other ways wich they prefer and find work , hope that helpd mate.

From the main page click on "Instruction Sheets" (Bottom Middle). Then "Vauxhall Instruction Sheets". Then under the heading "Torque Settions"lol SBD typo! Click "2.0l 16v"

Or click me! (http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Info_sheets/TORQUE_SETTINGS/2.0L%2016V.htm)
