Yeh merc been doing it for a while, load of bollocks!

Fiat have a low/overfilled thing that comes up on the dash. Done a service on one, filled it u, perfect level on dipstick.

'Oil level too high'

Didnt stop coming on until the level was below minimum.. Donnt need computers to tell me how much oil ive got in my car, a dipstick doesnt decide not to work!

you should try servicing a merc lorry...... we lifted the cab & spent 1/2 hr trying to work out where the oil & fuel filters were...then we removed the gear linkage to get at them, then we had to put 29litres of fully synthetic in it.

could be just check if it's loose,or could be a shot track rod end,or the wheel bearing:)

most cars have a dip stick aswell as a dash display but have heard some mercs you have to plug into the computer just to check the level when you change it lol
